Cortjo Fuente Arriba Cortijo Fuente Arriba is a truly unique property just a 5 minute walk from the traditional Andalucian village of Lubrin. An established holiday rental of two farmhouses apartments and three detached cottages plus a two bedroom owners farmhouse. The original cortijo has been renovated and extended and is located on a hilltop with 2 acres of ancient terracing.

The magnificent main entrance provides the backdrop to a large paved area, historically employed as a threshing circle and provides convenient parking for several cars. From inside the main entrance is a paved approach to the upper ground floor of the cortijo with a plunge pool, converted from the original embalsa ( water reservoir) and an integrated pergola with facilities for “al fresco” dining with the heat of the summer sun cooled by the prevailing sea breeze ( the Levante).

The upper floor of the cortijo has been converted into a two-bedroom apartment, with en-suite bathroom and shower room, farmhouse kitchen and large sitting room. From outside the porch are sets of steps, to the left and right, leading down to two self contained apartments on the lower ground floor. These apartments comprise of large double bedrooms, sitting rooms, kitchens and family bathrooms. Outside, each apartment has two terraces, one looking east and the other looking west.

One bedroom cottage At the opposite end of the lower ground floor garden is a detached one bedroom cottage converted from an agricultural outbuilding. The living room is open plan with log burning stove, and a shower and separate WC leads on into the double bedroom with vanity basin, ceiling fan an electric heating. Outside has open and covered terraces with views to the Mediterranean and the benefits of the Levante.

Two bedroom cottage On the bottom terrace of the finca is a two bedroom detached cottage which was converted from a barn and has covered porch to the front and walled patio to the rear. There is a very large open plan living area with shuttered windows, log burning stove and ceiling fans. The kitchen is from Ikea with gas hob and oven and freestanding fridge/freezer. There are two double bedrooms with shuttered windows, ceiling fans and electric heating. There is a spacious family bathroom.

Two bedroom cottage On the same terrace is a one bedroom detached cottage converted from a stables. The living area is open plan with Ikea kitchen, gas hob and oven, freestanding fridge, shuttered windows, ceiling fans and log burning stove. There is a double bedroom with shuttered window, ceiling fan and electric heating. Landscaping is made up of pea gravel lawns bordered by grape vines and oleander and there are an abundance of almond, olive and pomegranate trees.

Location Situated just a two minute drive from the main road but protected from traffic noise and pollution by a rambla to the north and a camino rural to the south. Lubrin is a small quiet village that sits high in the Sierra de los Filabres. Although small, Lubrin offers all the basic amenities with small supermarkets, shops & traders. There are several bars and cafes, plus a weekly market. The beautiful beaches of Mojacar are around 45 kms and the city of Almeria 72 kms. The nearest airports are Almeria 49 km, Murcia 127 km & Granada 139 km.
