I greet you with love and the joy of Jesus. We, the 5th District Lay Scholarship Committee, thank you for entrusting us with your confidence to oversee the scholarship program. As stated in Luke 12:48 “To Whom much is given, much is required.” We take this very seriously.
I must thank the following:
The Scholarship Committee for their tireless energy and support.
The laity and parents for their support in getting information out about the scholarship applications.
The many, many contributors who make scholarship funds possible.
And of course our Scholars, for whom we endeavor, so that precious right Education continues on the African American Community.
It has been a pleasure being an instrument of the Lord and serving on this committee.

Rename the Bishop T. Larry Kirkland Scholarship of Excellence to the Bishop’s Scholarship of Excellence.

Our young people are not submitting complete packages, an indicator of no adult review of their applications.
