Voice Levels 0 - Transition or Test Taking: (hallway or red cup)
1 - Working Whispers: “We can whisper.” 2 - Soft Conversation: seat work, green cup 3 - Loud, Proud Sharing Voice presentations, drama 4 - Outside Voice recess

“When You Enter The Classroom”
Student will… Make your lunch choice with magnet Unpack and get all materials ready (turn in homework etc.) Complete morning work by following directions Wait for teacher’s further instructions

“Pencil System” Each Student has a pencil box.
This box is to have four sharpened pencils and one big eraser at all times. Your pencils should last you through the week. Be kind to your pencils. They are your friends. Borrow from a friend in you need to do so. Pencil boxes will be left out on Fridays on your desk. If you have all four pencils and the eraser you will find a “surprise” Monday morning.

“When You Need To Go To The Restroom”
Student will… Give teacher a signal – crossed fingers We will go the restroom 2 times as a class and you will have 1 other free chance to go. Students will NOT go to the restroom during teaching time unless it is an absolute emergency!

“When You Have A Question”
Student will… Raise his or her hand (no sounds needed – I can see you) Do not answer aloud unless called upon! We need to give everyone a chance!

“When You Hear An Emergency Signal”
Student will… Calmly stop everything you are working on Listen carefully for teacher’s instructions You will need to remain CALM AND QUIET.

“When You Line Up To Leave The Room”
Students will… Quickly and quietly stand up, push your chair under your desk, and move to the line when the teacher calls you by number order. We will NOT go anywhere unless it is straight and quiet! Know that the line stays straight and quiet until we reach our destination. Remember to keep arms by your side at all times.

Bathroom Procedures Monitor Responsibilities: Boys – 3 at a time
Inspect bathroom Use bathroom Call in students Remind to be silent Remind wash hands Boys – 3 at a time Girls – 5 at a time

“When You Are In The Lunchroom”
Students will… Enter quietly and stay in line. Say thank you to the lunch ladies for serving you. Do not start eating until everyone is seated. (while we wait on everyone you need to put your napkin in your lap) Remember boys on one side and girls on the other Red Cup = 10 minutes of NO TALKING Green Cup = 10 minutes of VOICE LEVEL #1 to side neighbors only 6. Teacher will direct when to dump trays and exit quietly.

“How will I get your attention?”
I will… Calhoun clap Lights out - Stop talking and moving = FREEZE! 3. Count Down! 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 0

“When It Is Time To Go Home”
Students will… Make sure you have homework assignments written down. Quietly pack up materials needed. Stack chairs at your group and quietly sit on your desk with backpack in lap. Teacher dismisses you, not the bell!

“When You Need To Turn In Homework”
Student will… Homework will be checked during that subject’s lesson. Make sure your name is on it!!!

“When You Are Absent or Project Challenge”
Students will… IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to get your assignments for the day! PC Buddy

“When You Finish Your Work Early”
Student will… Look on white board to see options Options may consist of reading or working on other assignments. Talking is not an option and will result in a negative point!

“When You Turn A Paper In”
Student will… Make sure they have set their paper up correctly: Name – First and Last, number (Right side, top line) Subject (2nd line) Date (3rd line) NO NAME = 5 POINT DEDUCTION after 1st nine weeks!

“When to get out of your seat”
Student will… Never get out of seat without teacher’s permission or during instruction. If you need supplies, a tissue, bathroom emergency, water….raise your hand or use the signal.

RECESS -Stay in line until you are dismissed to play.
-Hands to yourself at all times! -One person on the slide at a time, no going up the slide -Stay inside the track area - If a ball goes into the road – GET A TEACHER -Be a friend to everyone!
