As you prepare your fall semester calendar, please save the date for   Valencia Night at The Center for Peace at the Islamic Society of Central Florida Friday, October 12th, 5:30-8:00 PM   All students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend. Faculty, please come with your classes to encourage attendance. The event could serve as a cultural event or an extra credit assignment when appropriate.   The evening event will include a tour of the mosque, a delicious Middle Eastern meal, and a talk about the teachings of Islam.   The event is free for everyone.   As stated on their website, the mission of the Center for Peace is not to proselytize or convert, but to educate and inform about the true message of Islam and issues that face Muslims.
