What we are: Public : private sector partnership
– led by the private sector Construct of previous coalition government – took over some of the role of RDA’s but without the cash Started in January 2011 with simple objectives to: – Create business growth – Create (high value) jobs – Remove barriers to growth Retained by current administration – seen to deliver

What we’ve done so far: Secured a successful City Deal Bid
Set up a highly regarded Growth Hub helping businesses to locate, prosper and grow in C&W Developed a Strategic Economic Plan for C&W which identified areas for investment Subsequently secured Growth Deal(s) bringing in £90M+ of Government investment with more to come Total capital funding secured c£300M Contributed to the work of the WMCA, the Devolution Deal and the ‘SuperSEP’ Non-Constituent member of the WMCA
