SKANSKA Backup Water Supply – Lessons Learned Air Monitors in Tunnel Important to always ensure you air monitors are calibrated and functioning properly.  Mechanical subcontractor was working inside the tunnels near the building exterior wall when their air monitor went off because a truck was running just outside and the exhaust made its way through the unsealed wall penetration into the tunnel. Water line extension between 4-82 and 4-86 building Contactor to better coordinate road closures with facilities. Shutting down the main delivery road between the 4-82 and 4-86 buildings had the potential to impact movement of work in process materials and external deliveries. Contractor had to request relocation of barriers and ramp to accommodate for such deliveries. Working from lifts near crane space Subcontractor was installing insulation on new water line in the truss space of the 4-86 building, outside of the crane space. However, the base of the lift was within the crane envelope. Contractor will coordinate work with crane users when working in or near crane space.
