3. There is a Centre for Bioinformatics sanctioned by Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India. Various activities of this centre are coordinated by Prof. Vinay Sharma.
This centre has acquired many databases and softwares and has also developed several databases viz. Biotechnological Industries of Rajasthan, Database of Flora of Indian Desert etc.
The services of the Centre for Bioinformatics include analysis of   biological data, bibliographic references to published literature in Science and Technology.
