1. Risk and Issue Exercise Tasks
Risks: Tasks 1 - 4
1) Risk Identification: Develop risk statements for each of the THREE assigned risks and record them on the risk matrix template provided.
2) Risk Analysis: Determine probability/consequence of each risk and plot all THREE risks (using assigned letter identifiers) on the risk matrix template provided. Be prepared to explain rationale for the selected probability and consequence for each of the THREE risks assigned. Note that the exercise artifacts contain a tailored likelihood table and consequence table based on a notional Bull Dog TMRR phase schedule and budget. Teams must use these tables to facilitate their analysis. Also note that the TMRR budget is $33M.
3) Risk Handling: Develop a risk handling strategy for the HIGHEST PRIORITY risk of the THREE assigned based on risk analysis.
4) Risk Monitoring: Develop a risk monitoring strategy for the HIGHEST PRIORITY risk of the THREE assigned based on risk analysis.

5) Technical Issue: As a team, decide on the best solution for the ONE technical issue assigned and explain why using the template provided. Three or more solutions are provided per issue.

Annotate team risks assigned using letter identifiers (for example A, B, and C) on respective risk matrix locations based on your risk analysis (insert text box). Be prepared to explain the rationale for your selected probability and consequence for each of the THREE risks assigned.
The template provided to the students will consist of the a cover page (Team number with list of risks and issue assigned) and the following tasks slides presented. Students should delete guidance, insert their findings, and expand the number of slides as needed to effectively communicate results of the teams risk management efforts.

4. Task 3: Risk Handling
Develop a risk handling strategy for the HIGHEST PRIORITY risk of the THREE assigned based on risk analysis.
What is the plan to handle the risk? Will the risk be accepted, avoided, transferred, or mitigated (or some combination thereof)?
Identify the functional roles including specialty SMEs needed for your handling strategy. Include experience level and “Additional Resources” needed. Identify critical actions required, who will initiate them, and any time constraints.
Given that the teams are working with limited information, the discussion of functional roles, experience levels, and additional resources needed will likely be top-level. The intent is stimulate critical thinking as to what may be needed to handle this risk but by no means are they given the tools to forge a detailed plan.

5. Task 4: Risk Monitoring
Develop a risk monitoring strategy for the HIGHEST PRIORITY risk of the THREE assigned based on risk analysis.
How should the Bull Dog team communicate risks being managed?
How often should the Bull Dog team meet and who should lead the discussions?
How will the Bull Dog team know when mitigation steps have been successful?
Similar to the Risk Handling task (task #3), the risk monitoring task findings will be top-level in nature given the limited information the students have been given.

6. Task 5: Technical Issue
Briefly explain the one TECHNICAL issue assigned
Briefly share the three solution options
Which solution did the team decided was the best and why?
Each team is assigned one technical scenario/issue. They should explain what the issue is, what the 3 or 4 solution options are, and which solution they chose and why.
