Reshape and expand the SOC Degree Network System Integrate new DNS member schools Develop new Degree Networks Strengthen targeted existing Degree Networks Focus on coordinating Degree Networks that have guaranteed course transferability among DNS member schools Focus on degrees programs that servicemembers are currently enrolled in and those with potential expansion and growth into emerging career fields Additional SOC DNS info: Call for Programs disseminated from DoD to all DoD MOU partner institutions. DoD MOU signatory is a key criterion for consideration for DNS membership 54 new institution respondents, 19 current, and 6 prior members More than 300,000 servicemembers enroll in voluntary education programs while in military; once leave military service, continue their education funded by GI Bill education benefits.

SOC DNS received 129 degree program submissions! Degree program submissions were sorted in to 10 areas Five chosen for initial phases Health Science Emergency Medical Services Medical Laboratory Technology Nursing Radiologic Technology Serves ~12,000 METC affiliated military students M/MR Guidelines Pre-requisite/core/foundation coursework; subjects Aligned with programmatic and/or licensing standards: EMS; 8 subjects MLT; 8 subjects Nursing; 4 broad subjects RT; 17 subjects Phase 1: Health Science Foundations Phase 2: Specialized Areas Health Information Management Medical Assistant Occupational Therapy Physical Therapy Assistant Respiratory Care

8 Proposed Network Framework
Health Science Foundations Emergency Medical Services Nursing Medical Laboratory Technology Radiologic Technology Recommend making the SPOKE text boxes larger so can read them easier. The shade gradations also impact readability so making text larger may help. Opt In/Opt Out Choice: maintain a minimum of 40% GT where institution chooses to participate
