2. Essay Requirements
Prompt: What person, place, or event in Hispanic history has inspired or influenced you or modern society most and why?
What does it mean to inspire or influence?

3. Essay Requirements Format: The essay must be between 600 and 700 words
Typed essays must be an easy to read 12 pt. font (Times New Roman or Arial only)
Essay may be handwritten, but MUST be legible on plain white or lined paper
DO NOT put your name on the essay. We will fill out an entry form and attach it to the essay.

4. Essay Requirements Judges:
The essays will be graded on originality, creativity, cultural knowledge and research, organizational structure and clarity, and spelling and grammar.
