Introduction and planned events The Penn State Energy Marketing Association What is energy marketing and how can you get involved with PSEMA? Will Chastka (2012 PNGE) & Alex Bronner (2011 EBF, 2018 MBA) Where you can find employment in the upstream services and suppliers, midstream, and downstream industries What skills, software proficiency, and certifications you can achieve that will give you a competitive edge in the job market As there are people unfamiliar with SPE because they are more of a PSEMA member, or vice-versa, we are going to start out by talking briefly about both organizations. As well as mention upcoming events. I will talk about SPE briefly – for those who don’t know me, I’m Derrick and I’m the president of The Society of Petroleum Engineers. After I talk briefly regarding SPE, PSEMA President Alex Minns and Treasurer John Shwenck will talk briefly on The Penn State Energy Marketing Association. After which, I will hand it over to our Guest Speaker for the night, Zachary Evans, a storage engineer from Columbia Pipeline Group. If anyone wants to join either organization who hasn’t already, find us at the end of tonight’s event.
