Making your application
Make sure you tell us.. If the child is looked after or adopted If there are brothers or sisters attending any of the schools you apply for If a parent works at any of the schools listed on your form. AND Provide supporting information with your application if you are asking for medical priority Be sure that the address you use is the child’s usual place of residence. Attach details if not Ensure you include proof of address Complete any supplementary forms and send them directly to the schools Meet all the deadlines
10
Enfield Schools – Distance from your home is important The furthest distance the LA offered places for admission in September 2016 on national offer day was ARK John Keats miles Chace Community miles Edmonton County miles Heron Hall – miles Highlands miles Kingsmead miles Southgate miles Winchmore miles
11
Things to remember… Visit all the schools you are interested in, especially those in your local area. Talk to local parents Look at the written information, including the schools’ prospectus, pattern of admissions in previous years and also the admissions rules. Distance counts for many schools and will often be a deciding factor Be realistic- include one local school! Available September 2016
12
For school outside Enfield - look at that Local authority’s website for details e.g Hertfordshire
Check if you need to complete a supplementary information form Complete all applications in full Naming only one school or the same school six times will not improve your chance of getting a place!
