$2.75M in State Funds from Massachusetts Clean Water Trust (SRF) used to Jumpstart LCCA Efforts at Public Schools and Daycares UMass Amherst Contracted via Inter-Agency Service Agreement to Run the Program with MassDEP Oversight and Coordination Partners: MA Dept. of Public Health, MA Dept. of Elementary and Secondary Education, MA Dept. of Early Education and Care, Massachusetts Water Resources Authority

Informational Meeting for School Personnel and Local Partners (PWS, BoH, Facility Managers, etc.) Mapping of Buildings to Identify LCCA Fixtures Development of Sampling Plan Collecting Samples (School/Town, UMass, MassDEP, State Contractors) Laboratory Services (Contracted or MWRA) Communication of Results (Template Letters, MDPH Fact Sheets, Participation in Public Meetings) Remediation Advice

5 Application Request For Interest (RFI) Launched to Identify Schools that Wanted to Participate Google Sheet Behind the Webform Captures Data Sheet Access is Controlled Centrally but Multiple Users can Access and Download as Needed (i.e. Management Reports, Scheduling Assistance, Administrative Efforts, etc.) Application Can be Modified on the Fly as Experience Guides Information Needs Much Simpler Application for Program Demo

6 LCCA Program Management Tool
Built In-House as a One-Stop Resource for Schools PIN-Protected Workspace for each School/District Front End UI Built using Google Apps Script and Published as a Web App through G Suite Back End Database Built using CloudSQL Documents/Report Templates Stored on Google Drive Lab Reports are Manually Transferred from eDEP ODBC-Connected MS Access Queries Generate .csv Files which are Uploaded using Google Cloud Platform Web Console First into Cloud Storage then CloudSQL Demo

7 eDEP Mandated use of MassDEP Portal (CROMERR compliant-ish)
Labs are Already Authorized Users Conscious Decision Made Not to Have Schools Create Accounts DWP Accepts Formatted .txt Files (Bulk Upload) Files Undergo Administrative and Technical Validations Completeness, Proper Formatting, Known IDs, Lab Certification, Approved Methods, Detection Limits, Holding Times EEA-IT Cloned our LCR Reporting “Form” for use in LCCA Substitute School IDs for Required PWSIDs Tell Them the Governor Requested the Work

8 School Access to Data LCCA Program Management Tool
MassDEP Generated an Excel File for each School and Highlighted any ALEs (Lead or Copper) to School with Excel File(s) Identified that They: Met the ALs at All Fixtures, or Exceeded the Lead AL at Any Fixture, or Exceeded the Copper AL at Any Fixture, or Exceeded Both the Lead and Copper ALs at Any Fixtures Schools Were Encouraged to Communicate Their Results With Their Community Told that MassDEP Would Make the Results Public After Two Weeks Copied Partners (e.g. MDPH, UMass-Amherst)
