2 Changing Gears Volunteer programme
Aimed at individuals who are unemployed 25+ with an offending background as Mentor Volunteer Centred around Mentoring and recycling activities Volunteers receive training, an accredited qualification and support

3 The Volunteering role 20 Mentor volunteers will be recruited, trained and supported to work with young offenders via one or both of the project activities. Volunteer Mentors will provide youth volunteers with mentoring support in order to reduce their likelihood of re- offending. Upcycling and recycling: beneficiaries will also undergo training in a range of social and vocational

Gain relevant experience on your CV Gain a qualification in Mentoring or Work Related Education L1/L2 We will cover project travel and food expenses

5 Young people • Receive support from your own mentor
• Add to and develop your skills and abilities • Get a qualification • Develop your self-esteem and confidence • Own the bike/furniture you have chosen/refurbished • Get support to help you access volunteering, employment, training or education opportunities
