9. Membership Requirements
Maintain GPA requirement (>85%)
No course or clinical clerkship failures
Mandatory meetings:
1 general chapter meeting per semester
1 additional meeting per semester
Volunteer hours: To be submitted on COSGP TOUCH website.
Hours will be checked throughout the semester
For OMS-I and OMS-II
10 hours of community service per semester (20 total)
For OMS-III and OMS-IV
1 community service event per semester (2 total)

Missing meetings will be considered on a case-by-case basis

Poor academic performance
Missed meeting without prior notification
Lack of community service participation
For Academic Probation: Meeting with Advisor Dr. McWilliam to discuss ways to maintain GPA

- Run for Cancer 5K / 10K
- Provided diabetes education lectures with Hilton Head Volunteers in Medicine
Brooklyn, NY:
- Prepared and served breakfast to homeless at Bowery Mission.
Cincinnati, OH:
- Assembled care packages to distribute to residents at the Jimmy Heath House, a safe house for recovering addicts
Tucson, AZ:
- Constructed a community garden in low-income area with Compass Community Housing and Community Food Bank of Southern AZ
Seattle,WA:
- Assembled Thanksgiving meal baskets for families in need with Seattle YWCA
Waikele, HI:
- Collected foot and hygiene donations for homeless children with Project Hawaii
Washington, DC:
- Provided diabetic glucose and foot checks, blood pressure screens, and flu vaccinations at health fair at homeless shelter
Chicago, IL:
- Pediatric literacy and healthy nutrition event
