Planning meeting to progress The Depressed Cake Shop As many of you will know we hosted our first Depressed Cake Shop in January at The Opposite Cafe in Chapel Allerton. The Depressed Cake Shop is a pop up cafe that uniquely uses the cakes it sells as a platform to raise awareness and get people talking about mental health. We had a great response, and were encouraged and excited by the conversations we were able to have around mental health. We sold over 90 of our cakes, more than doubling the average cake sales the cafe usually has on a Sunday! We are starting to raise money for local charities too, so thank you to everyone who popped in. Send newsletter notices and news to or phone the church office on Thursday is the cut-off for any notices for that Sunday’s news-sheet. Our new office address is First Floor, 126 Harrogate Rd, Chapel Allerton, Leeds LS7 4NZ. The ministers of the church are Simon Hall ( ) and Robin Thomson ( ).
