Who’s Your Hero?

Original Hero Group Project

Final project Due: Friday, October 23, 2015 (no exceptions)

Group Must Have 3-4 members
Group is responsible for Creating an original story depicting a hero’s journey Presenting a portion of the story in a 2-3 minute skit Creating a visual representation of their story Grading other group member’s participation

Step 1: Creating a Hero’s Journey
Story must be typed and be at least 2-3 pages in length. Chrome Lab, Monday, Oct 19 to type Must use at least 12 of the Archetype Characters from the green handout. These should be clearly marked in some manner. Hero’s Journey (stages) must be labeled on separate outline

Step 2: Skit All group members must participate in skit.
Dressing up is not necessary, but highly encouraged. Presentation must be 2-3 minutes in length. Presentations will be next Thursday and Friday, October (sign up sheet to come)

Group Step 3: Visual Representation
must come up with a visual representation for their story. Can be a drawing of your main character…OR A magical aid (i.e. Thor’s Hammer, Captain America’s shield, Harry’s Wand, etc.)…OR A T-shirt or other merchandise that you would market for your story…OR A commercial or PPT or other multi-media project…OR A Movie Poster advertising your story and character

Step 4: Grading Group Work
All group members must be equal participants in the project. A rubric will be provided for grading Grading of other group members will be anonymous.

More formalized grading instructions a Q&A period will be provided each class day.
This project will be worth FOUR GRADES Story—Class 1 Grade Skit—Class 2 Grade Visual—Class 2 Grade Group Participation—Class 3 Grade
