2. 2006: transitional year ITCS now managed in the UNSD/OECD joint system
MSIT now managed in StatWorks

3. ITCS Improvement of data quality: - quantity estimation;
- treatment of re-exports and re-imports.
Timeliness: 22 countries reached the target date of June

4. MSIT - migration
From Oracle Express environment to SQL-based application (StatWorks)
Many improvements (e.g. seasonal adjustment)

5. MSIT data collection Timeliness is a crucial issue
In cooperation with data providers:
- automate data collection process;
- improve coverage of volume indices.

6. Metadata
Transfer in MetaStore of ITCS and MSIT methodological information:
- for metadata management/update;
- for dissemination.

7. Future improvements Please send us provisional annual data before June
