Robinson Crusoe While he is no flashy hero or grand epic adventurer, Robinson Crusoe displays character traits that have won him the approval of generations of readers. His perseverance in spending months making a canoe, and in practicing pottery making until he gets it right, is praiseworthy. Additionally, his resourcefulness in building a home, dairy, grape arbor, country house, and goat stable from practically nothing is clearly remarkable.

Friday Probably the first nonwhite character to be given a realistic, individualized, and humane portrayal in the English novel, Friday has a huge literary and cultural importance. If Crusoe represents the first colonial mind in fiction, then Friday represents not just a Caribbean tribesman, but all the natives of America, Asia, and Africa who would later be oppressed in the age of European imperialism. At the moment when Crusoe teaches Friday to call him “Master” Friday becomes an enduring political symbol of racial injustice in a modern world critical of imperialist expansion.

Dialogue “No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.” ― Nelson Mandela, Long Walk to Freedom

Rewrite a scene: I opened my eyes and I found myself in an island and I don’t really remember anything even my name! I tried to realize were I am but I couldn’t .I looked at the long palms around the area and tropical fruits every where . I even remembered their names but nothing else.
14
I started to walk and I was hopping to find somebody but off course not anybody!
After approximately 15 minutes of walking I found a tree house ,and I started to say hello, is there anybody here! I kept doing this for 10 minutes. However, I felt that there is nobody and I should go back to beach. But Suddenly!
15
I found this man who was staring at me as if I were a mongoose or crocodile!
He asked me ! Where are you from? I said I don’t know But he didn’t believe me ! I didn’t really know how the word of London came to mind And I said London.
16
He started to laugh and call Master Master London London.
Finally the Master came and he said my name is a master! You can call me master. However, I found out that he was trying to make me feel as if I was his slave! Especially when he was eating and not letting me and Friday to eat at the same time.
17
I told him: Mr.Master I want to eat I'm really starving!
Robinson: Beg me pardon! What do you mean ? Do you want to eat with your Master ! Yes ! Ooh I think you miss the point !From now and then you are my slave and if “I” want you to eat then you can, and if “I” wont then wont eat. Sorry !! What do you mean a slave! I'm not your slave ! I’m a woman who is pretty sure that her parents and country are trying to find her and yeah Mr.Master I’m not your slave because we are all slaves to God only !
18
Robinson: What do you mean by that?!
I mean that I won’t be under any control of any person in this world . And "How dare you enslave a man while he was born free?" — Umar ibn Al-Khattab Silence …..
19
Robinson: I’m sorry , you are right how do I dare to do this
Robinson: I’m sorry , you are right how do I dare to do this ! You can go you and Friday ,and I’m truly sorry for being an arrogant .. And victory happens and they all lived happily ever after

In light of what we have covered so far in Fiction, Robinson Crusoe is considered one of the famous novels in English history. There are several words and terminologies that could simply describe the whole novel such as, adventure, survival, loneliness, isolation, regret, courage, slavery, and freedom. These words are found to be key words and concepts that are repeated in the novel. Moreover, each word represents a unique idea of its own that carries the main themes of the novel.
23
First, adventure is found when Robinson Crusoe succumbs to temptation and embarks on a ship bound for London with a friend even though it is against his family will. Second, survival is found when Crusoe learns he is the sole survivor of the expedition and seeks shelter and food for him. He returns to the wreck’s remains twelve times to salvage guns, powder, food, and other items. His survival instincts are remarkable. He managed to build a home from basically nothing.
24
Moreover, loneliness and isolation are considered motives that lead him to depend on himself such as, he kept journals and counting days in order never to lose track of time. Loneliness and isolation lead Crusoe to regret, his family is against him going out to sea, and his father explains that it is better to seek a modest, secure life for oneself. However, Robinson disobeyed his father and got stuck in the island for many years. He frequently blames himself for disobeying his father’s advice or blames the destiny that drove him to sea.
25
Also, courage is another key word in the novel
Also, courage is another key word in the novel. This concept could be found when Crusoe armed himself and remained on the lookout for cannibals and defeated most of them when they came to the island. The idea of slavery is represented by Friday. Crusoe names him Friday, to commemorate the day on which his life was saved, and takes him as his servant. He taught Friday to call him “Master,” even before teaching him the words for “yes” or “no,” In contrast, freedom is found when Crusoe left the island, and when he set Friday free.
