2 Lesson Objectives To identify the key aspects of the lives of the Native Americans To use sources to evaluate Native American lifestyle To evaluate ways in which the Native American Way of life would cause conflict with the Whites

3 Your Task In pairs you will be given images of the Native American
You need to say what you can see, say what this means and make a decision about the Native American Way of life You will then present your findings to the rest of the class (maximum 2 minutes) The images were drawn by George Catlin, an artist who was fascinated with the Native Americans. In the 1830s he travelled West and lived and worked with Native American tribes
