Essential Focus
#12 Transitions will be swift, Quiet, and Orderly 
ELA (O’Brian):
*Students are working integrating information from multiple texts and graphic sources to speak knowledgeably about a topic.
-We will practice this skill with “The Man Who Named the Clouds” and “Snowflake Bentley”
-Students will continue to practice this strategy with an “Arctic Blast” project.
-*Spelling Test Day 7 Tuesday January 27th

Root ology: biology, criminology, climatology, sociology, geology
Math (Tsoufiou/Raga): We will be starting a new unit next week. Our unit will cover fraction decomposition, adding fractions, adding mixed numbers, as well as adding tenths and hundredths.
Social Studies (Ohlemacher): The next 8 day cycle in Science, we'll be studying Earth's living History. Specifically, ecosystems, biomes, biotic and abiotic factors, habitats and plant and animal adaptations.
