Globalization Globalization refers to the dependent and interdependent relationships between places on earth.

Globalization Question: What has been Canada’s place in the community of nations and what should Canada’s role be? (e.g. Peopling of the Americas, Contact, the World Wars)

Development Development looks at how Canada and Canadians have evolved to meet the needs and wants of Canada’s peoples. With the resources available to them.

Development Questions: How has the Canadian economy evolved in an attempt to meet the needs and wants of all Canada’s peoples? (e.g. National Policy and free trade)

Governance Governance is the process by which a group a people establish a system that enables them to live together in an organized and cooperative society. (Federal, Provincial, municipal, companies, organization, clubs, families).

Governance Question: Have governments in Canada, past and present, been reflective of Canadian societies? (e.g. First Nations governing, colonialism, Confederation and constitutional issues)

Justice Many people immediately equate it with the law – the legal or justice system. For others, the word “justice” may more naturally bring to mind the word fairness.
