US territory was inhabited by the Indians from ancient times. The ancestors of the Indians migrated to America from North-East Asia. The term "red", common as a symbol of Indian popular culture has nothing to do with natural skin color Indians (from white to dark). It comes from the custom of the Red Indians tribe who painted their faces and clothes.

3 All the Indians have common features that bring them with a population of Asia. They have yellowish or reddish brown skin tone, hard straight hair, broad face and prominent cheekbones.

5 In the North America there were about 400 of Indian tribes
In the North America there were about 400 of Indian tribes. They all spoke different languages and had no written language. However, in 1826, the leader of the tribe Cherokee - Sequoia created syllabic alphabet and in 1828 he began to issue the newspaper "Cherokee Phoenix" on the Cherokee language.
