Humans are the only known hosts, but studies show that it may be possible for animals to be as well. Finland study shows that dogs can carry human strains of the virus and pass it on to human owners. Treatment of Infection
No specific treatment Don't need to visit a GP because your body will naturally fight it. Generally 3 days-2 weeks depends Can take a paracetamol such as Tylenol to help with the pain Drink lots of fluids; keep hydrated

Epidemiology It is very common, highly contagious.
Can get it any time of the year most common: winter There are about million cases per year (CDCP). deaths annually (mostly young and elderly) In 2002 and 2006, there was a norovirus epidemic, which killed over 600 people in total.
