6. LGBT group at MYPAS
This group is now active – students report back that it was really good with nice staff.
The group will meet every Monday from 7-9pm at Tolbooth Hall, 176 High Street, Dalkeith.

7. Urgent - Locker Keys
Can the students who have been issued with a locker form please return the completed form with payment or return the key to the School Office by Friday 4 November.
There have been numerous deadlines passed for the return of either the form or keys. These lockers are required for re-issue. No students’ should be using a locker after Monday 7 November without having provided a form and made payment for the locker.

Our Management Scheme for School Leavers is evolving. We’re investing our decades of experience in this area to form the Retail Management Apprenticeship for School Leavers. Combining in-store experience with accredited academic learning, it’s the perfect path into retail management for smart, ambitious school leavers… following in the footsteps of many of our senior leaders.
Over 12 to 18 months, you’ll experience retail in real time. Food, Fashion, Home and Store operations; managing £multi-million budgets; leading people and teams… it’s all part of the package, with loads of coaching and mentoring to keep you on track. Plus you’ll spend time working towards your Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship in Retail Management.
By the time you’ve finished, you’ll be ready to take on the role of a Commercial Manager and responsibility for an entire department. After that, there’s no limit to where you can go.

Simply put, we want high-calibre people. You should have or expect to gain at least three Highers (grade A-C)

15. Apprentice Information Days Saturday 5 November & Sunday 4 December
Torness Power Station is holding information days about its very successful Engineering Maintenance Apprenticeship scheme on Saturday 5 November and Sunday 4 December to let prospective recruits know more about the programme. There will be three sessions on each day at 9:30, 11:00 and

16. Paired Reading S1 pupils – if you are to be involved in paired reading, you will be told by your Register teacher this week. This will start on Tuesday 8 Nov and will take place during Registration on a Tuesday & Thursday in the library until Christmas.
