LGBT group at MYPAS This group is now active – students report back that it was really good with nice staff. The group will meet every Monday from 7-9pm at Tolbooth Hall, 176 High Street, Dalkeith.

Urgent - Locker Keys Can the students who have been issued with a locker form please return the completed form with payment or return the key to the School Office by Friday 4 November. There have been numerous deadlines passed for the return of either the form or keys. These lockers are required for re-issue. No students’ should be using a locker after Monday 7 November without having provided a form and made payment for the locker.

If you are taking S4 Physics and you are coming on the museum trip either on Monday the 7th of November OR Tuesday the 8th of November please do the following: -Make sure you have handed in your permission slip -Make sure you have done the pre-visit questionnaire (see Edmodo for details) ON THE DAY OF YOUR VISIT PLEASE GO TO REGISTRATION AS NORMAL. AT 8.40AM MAKE YOUR WAY TO THE ATRIUM WHERE YOU WILL MEET YOUR TEACHER TO BE REGISTERED FOR THE TRIP REMEMBER: You will need money for the bus or a Lothian buses Ridacard and packed lunch. You should also wear full school uniform.

Apprentice Information Days Saturday 5 November & Sunday 4 December
Torness Power Station is holding information days about its very successful Engineering Maintenance Apprenticeship scheme on Saturday 5 November and Sunday 4 December to let prospective recruits know more about the programme. There will be three sessions on each day at 9:30, 11:00 and The information days will take place at Torness Power Station in the Visitor Centre and will last roughly 1.5 hours. If you would like to come along or find out more, please contact Ashleigh Dickson on or phone her on Spaces are limited and you need to register your attendance in advance for the specific date and time. Requirements To apply for an Engineering Maintenance Appenticeship you should have or expect to achieve National 5s in Maths, two Sciences (or 1 Science and a Technical subject) and English. Paired Reading S1 pupils – if you are to be involved in paired reading, you will be told by your Register teacher this week. This will start on Tuesday 8 Nov and will take place during Registration on a Tuesday & Thursday in the library until Christmas.

ROME 2017 There are still a few spaces left on the Rome Trip, if anyone is interested please see Miss Blake. The trip is now open to S2 pupils.
