fMRI Study in Cape Town Received grants from NIH/Fogarty International Research Collaboration Award (FIRCA), , and Wayne State University to train and set up first fMRI study in Cape Town Brought UCT physicist to U.S. for fMRI training Set up fMRI and mock scanner in Groote Schuur Hospital and ran 1 adult and 6 children under supervision of U.S. collaborator who came with us to Cape Town Screened 40 children (older siblings of children in our CIFASD cohort) for FASD to serve as pilot subjects and matched controls Tested first 5 of 40 children in this pilot study in preparation for applying for NIH grant to test children in our CIFASD cohort at age 8 years
