The Nile is formed from the White Nile, which originates at Lake Victoria and the Blue Nile, which originates at Lake Tana in Ethiopia. These rivers meet in Sudan and then go on their long journey northwards towards the sea. Navigation Previous Slide

Great Pyramids Located in Giza, the Great Pyramids were the resting places of kings and other people of wealth. Originally covered with a marble type rock, today they look more like the photos on the right. The Romans defaced them with graffiti and used them for target practice.
