Gee feels that this is only part of the bigger picture/problem that still exists today.

7 Schools make things that kids are good at, hard.
Undervalue basic principles of learning, learning is a passionate activity. Learning of itself is a reward. –Harlowe Games are designed to combine learning and pleasure.
