What a person’s true Character is:
Character is different from persona – persona is the way we try to present ourselves to the world.
Character, on the other hand, is who we truly are when no one is looking!
One is guided by authenticity, the other by image

Character is what defines us and guides our lives
Everything we are and everything we do flows out of our Character – Proverbs 23:7
Nothing has done more to discredit or to validate the Christian faith than the Character of its followers!

Attitudes shape our lives – Matthew 15:19
Jesus laid down the foundational attitudes to build our lives on – Matthew 5:1-10

The Fruit of the Spirit
Jesus said you can know the true character of a person by their fruit – Matthew 7:15-20
God’s Spirit produces distinctive fruit in our lives – Galatians 5:19-23

Must be diligent in developing Godly Character
Above all else, guard your heart – Proverbs 4:23; Matthew 6:33; Corinthians 10:5; Philippians 4:8
Train yourself to be godly – 1 Timothy 4:7-8; Romans 12:2; Peter 1:5-11

Must continue in the development
It’s easy for us to give up when things get tough
Endurance produces Character – Romans 5:4, James 1:2-4
