3. Environment and Conservation Fund (ECF)
Established in 1994
Provides funding support for educational, research, technology demonstration and community waste reduction projects in relation to environmental and conservation matters.
Projects must be non-profit making in nature.

7. Environmental Education and Community Action Projects
The ECF has earmarked $5 million to support environmental education general projects on biodiversity in order to enhance public understanding on this aspect.
The amount of funding support will be assessed and determined on the merits of individual funding applications. Projects with reference budget exceeding $2 million will need to be approved by the ECF Committee. Those applications with applied budget exceeding the amount of funding allocated for the respective project type will not be considered.
