1 3V System Product Training

2 3V Zoning System Trainer
This is a 3V Training simulator. It will allow the understanding and demonstration of many of the 3V system capabilities. This is a working simulator with full communication capabilities. This 3V system can be set up with the PremierLink controlling a constant volume RTU with a single zone system with just one sensor along with using the system pilot as the time broadcaster and commissioning tool. This simulator can be set up with 3V zone controllers as floating zones on the constant volume system above. This system can be configured as a full VVT system with communication linkage between a 3V zone controller configured as the Linkage Coordinator and the PremierLink. This linkage Coordinator will also monitor up to 31 additional zone and communicate with the 3V Bypass controller with its built-in Pressure Sensor. The 3V zone controllers are pressure dependent devices. For applications that require pressure dependent operation the Carrier ComfortID zone controller can be applied with the 3V zone controllers. Linkage has been set-up within both the 3V zone controller and the ComfortID zone controllers to allow for combined usage. 3V Zoning System Trainer

3 The PremierLink is the replacement for the VVT equipment relay packs
The PremierLink is the replacement for the VVT equipment relay packs. The PremierLink controller devised for constant volume application up to 25 tons. In addition the PremierLink allows for the full modulating economizer control with an analog 4 to 20 milliamp output signal. PremierLink

4 The VVT zone controllers have been replaced with the 3V zone controller. This controller have the intelligence located with the damper and not in the occupied space. Unlike the VVT with only 15 positions of open and close the 3V damper has an infinite number of position shown in % open. On the 3V system only a sensor is located in the occupies space. The sensors used at the standard, time proven family of sensors. All Carrier sensors are now compatible with the 3V system devices. There is no longer a need to have a dedicated monitoring device like the VVT monitor stat. Any 3V zone controller can be configured to be the Linkage coordinator (a Monitor type stat). 3V Zone Controller

5 3V Zone Controller with Reheat
Any 3V zone controller can simply be converted into a zone reheat system. All 3V zone controllers can have the easily mountable optional Reheat board attached to it. This reheat can allow for a fan and up to 3 additional stages of zone reheat. 3V Zone Controller with Reheat

6 The optional Reheat Board is state of the art in reheat control.

7 3V Bypass Controller (built in pressure sensor)
The 3V bypass controller have a built-in pressure sensor. Even though the 3V Bypass controller has its own actuator the bypass controller can be reconfigured to provide floating point control to an other damper actuator with feedback. 3V Bypass Controller (built in pressure sensor)

8 The System Pilot is the user interface device for set-up, configuring, commissioning, and monitoring of the 3V system. The System Pilot device that is capable of communication with any Carrier control device that is on the Carrier communication bus. System Pilot

9 This the Carrier Space sensor with set point adjustment along with unoccupied override. This sensor can be used by all Carrier controllers. T-56 Space Sensor

10 T-59 Space Sensor with Digital Display
This the new digital display space with Setpoint adjustment and unoccupied override. This sensor does require 24 volts AC power. T-59 Space Sensor with Digital Display

11 T-56 Space Sensor with CO2 Sensor
This a a combination space temperature and CO2 sensor. This device also has Setpoint adjustment and unoccupied override. This sensor does require 24 volt AC power. T-56 Space Sensor with CO2 Sensor

12 The enthalpy switch will allow for enthalpy acceptance level control when used with the PremierLink setup with a modulating damper. Enthalpy Switch

13 This is Carrier’s communicated Universal Controller
This is Carrier’s communicated Universal Controller. It is a general purpose program HVAC controller with 8 configurable inputs and 8 configurable outputs. It uses Carrier time-proven algorithms for control. It does not require a computer to configure. It can be configured with the System pilot. Universal Controller

The 3V Zone controller do use a direct connect communication bus. This direct connection uses COMM port 2 of the 3V zone controller and Bypass controller.

15 Zone Commissioning Zone commissioning screen
Use the System Pilot to talk to (“attach”) to each zone Access each zone’s commissioning maintenance screen to: Perform damper calibrate Test local heat/fan Access Bypass controller to: Perform static pressure calibration Address 0,141 Address 0,140 Linkage Coordinator Bypass Address 0,31 PremierLink Controller Address 0,139 Address 0,138 ComfortID System Pilot Address 0,235 Local Connect The System Pilot uses the Carrier Communication bus to attach to each 3V device during the commissioning process. If the System Pilot is directly connect then only that device can perform the necessary commissioning.

16 System Commissioning System commissioning screen
Use the System Pilot to talk to (“attach”) to the Linkage Coordinator Access the system commissioning maintenance screen to: Open all dampers to their configured maximum Set dampers’ configured maximum Repeat for minimums Individually position each damper View bypass pressure Set bypass pressure setpoint Address 0,141 Address 0,140 Linkage Coordinator Bypass Address 0,31 PremierLink Controller Address 0,139 Address 0,138 ComfortID System Pilot Address 0,235 Local Connect When a 3V device has been configured as the Linkage Coordinator. The Linkage coordinator can use the Communication bus to commission all the zone controllers.
