Weighs about ounces.

9. The Spinal Cord
Originates in the brain, extends the length of the trunk and is protected by the spinal column.

10. The Primary cell of the Nervous System is the Neuron or Nerve Cell

11. Dendrites
Part of the cell body which receives messages from the neurons.

12. Nerves
Long white cords that make up fibers that carry messages to and from various parts of the body.

13. Axon
Is that part of the cell body which sends messages to other neurons, glands, or muscles.

14. Cranial Nerves
The fifth- also called trifacial or trigeminal is the largest cranial.
Chewing is controlled by this nerve.

15. Cranial Nerves
The Seventh Cranial nerve controls the muscles of the face.

16. Cranial Nerves
The eleventh Cranial Nerve affects the muscles of the back and neck and the scalp.

17. The Median Nerve
Supplies the arm and hand.
