2 Life Span A life span of a zebra is 20 years in the wild, but 40 years in captivity. Appearance Weight: lbs. Size:45-55 in.(ground to shoulder) in. tall All zebra’s are boldly striped in black and white. (no two zebras are the same!) Occasionally they have brown and white stripes. Their bellies are the only part of their body without stripes. They also have heavy bodies and slender legs that are good for running up to 25miles per hour.

3 Zebra’s Habitat & Diet Habitat Zebras can live in wooded areas and open plains. Zebras are found on the savannas from Sudan to Northern Zimbabwe in eastern Africa. Some are also found in Kenya. Mountain zebras appear in southwest Africa, Namibia and Angola. Diet Zebras are herbivores and mostly eat a variety of grasses. They are also known for eating shrubs, herbs, twigs, leaves, and bark.

4 population/endangered
Zebras are an endangered spices there is only zebras left in the wild it may sound like a lot but I'm telling you that’s not. There is few left dew to animals such as lions, leopards, hyenas, dogs and crocodiles and people disturbing there habitats. People often kill them for there beautiful hides. How are humans helping them! Humans are doing there best to help save and protect this endangered sepsis by helping them keep there habitats and providing them with the water and food supply they need because many zebras die from dehydration so remember we may have all the water we need but there dying from not enough

5 Communication Defending themselves
Zebras communicate by making a barking, yipping, snorting, and whining noes they also make body motions such as lifting there ears up to tell each other that they are being watched and put there ears down when they are scared or in fear Defending themselves Often when they are being attacked they use there Hine legs to kick. Hoping that can give them time to run. there bodies are also made to be able to run fast . They even bite.

6 Species Family life There are three types of species the gravy zebra, mountains zebras, and plain zebra, Zebras live alone at first but around the summer they all gather into one group or other whys known as herds . They gather and often mate than later some or them leave there herd and later they gather again if there predators don’t eat them. The gravy zebras were the first zebra species but you can breed zebras with donkeys and horses.
