1 Transition Day 2016 The mission of ACHS is to care for all students, to engage them in learning, and to prepare them as responsible, college and career ready citizens.

2 Grad Requirements/Promotion
26 credits to graduate 6.5 to be 10th 12.5 to be 11th 18.5 to be 12th

3 Schedule Changes At this point you should not be requesting a schedule change… You can watch for dates over the summer to come in and talk to a counselor about your schedule. This schedule is not set in stone, it is just to give you an experience of our day at ACHS.

4 Absences Up to three (3) absences per trimester will be excused with a parent’s note, after that, students are required to present a written statement from a medical professional or other official documentation.

5 Tardiness Tardy to class means a student is not in the room by the time the bell stops ringing. Students have six minutes between classes to change rooms. Students are allowed ONE (1) free tardy per trimester. Students who are over 10 minutes tardy unexcused to class are considered skipping class and will receive appropriate consequences. Students are not permitted to congregate in the hallways and lobbies during breaks.

6 Tobacco/Nicotine Possession and Use
Possession of any tobacco/nicotine/e-cigarette products at Anderson County High School is prohibited. Any student found in possession of or using a tobacco/ nicotine product faces confiscation of the product and disciplinary consequences.

7 Dress Code Pants No rips, holes or tears of any size above the knee
Underwear and backside cannot be exposed

8 Dress Code Pants No spandex, bicycle, pajama, flannel or other form-fitting pants Yoga pants/leggings allowed if covered to finger tip length

9 Dress Code Shorts/Skirts/Skorts Credit card above knee or longer
Composed of non-transparent material at least to credit card above knee

10 Dress Code Violation Not a violation

11 Dress Code Shirts Neckline reveal less than credit card length from neck not collarbone Shoulder strap width greater than length of credit card Composed of non-transparent material Camisoles and tank tops may be worn under dress code appropriate shirts

12 Dress Code Typical violations See thru and low necks

13 Electronic Devices Out of sight during class unless teacher gives permission Can be used in halls during class changes only and while in the cafeteria at lunch Give to staff member if you are using incorrectly and they ask for it

14 Profanity Do not use any profanity
Be careful in the hallway, cafeteria and other common areas – you never know who is walking around you You can receive ISS or ATS for profanity

15 PDA No prolonged body contact or other public displays of affection
This includes kissing or embracing one another against the wall or lockers

16 Disciplinary Consequences

17 Bullying/Harassment If you see it happening, report it
If it is happening to you, report it ACHS will not tolerate bullying, harassment, hazing or any other inappropriate interactions among students Depantsing or other unwanted touching will be disciplined
