Naming Convention
10
Location(Region/Country)_Campaign_AssetType_Title_Date_Name
Naming Convention WHY ? It saves you time to find your work files Keep a clean and pleasant area for everybody! WHAT SHOULD IT BE APPLIED TO? Everything you create in Eloqua: Campaigns, Segments, Assets ( s, landing pages, and forms) as well as Components (images, field merges, dynamic content…). WHICH NAMING CONVENTION SHOULD YOU FOLLOW? Location(Region/Country)_Campaign_AssetType_Title_Date_Name E.g. If we were creating a reminder for an Eloqua Training Campaign, the suggested naming convention would look like this: Group_EloquaTraining_ _Reminder_ _ModernMark

Tips and Checklist for Campaign preparation
15
Tips – Session 1 You cannot delete the assets of the others
Don’t forget to save, Eloqua doesn’t auto save Don’t touch to the HTML code of any assets, the templates are done in a way that you don’t need to change anything Don’t use the free design tool as it is plenty of bug, ALWAYS use HTML assets Make the most of others work Copy/duplicate an asset from another region BUT make sure you rename and work on YOUR copy You have the rights to change the assets of the others… be careful, Keep work organised, and named accordingly
16
From “Offline” to Eloqua
“If you do have a clear idea and structure of your campaign offline it would be much easier to implement it digitally in Eloqua” What you should do? What you shouldn’t do? Clarify and write down the purpose, objective, scope, audience and time frame of your campaign… and… DRAW! Let’s create a floating form directly in Eloqua and see how it goes
