Crab pulsar has significant timing noise causing it to deviate from a simple spin-down model Timing noise and glitches have caused the pulsar frequency to deviate by ~ 2.10^-5 from generally published spin-down parameters Timing noise calculated using Jodrell Bank Crab pulsar monthly ephemeris Extra heterodyning step have been added to the time domain method remove timing noise LSC meeting - Hannover April 2003

60 Hz power line clearly visible in all IFOs L1 has clean band apart from power line Other lines in band for H1 and H2 L1 H2 H1

3 Preliminary PDFs for Crab have been produced
Preliminary results Preliminary PDFs for Crab have been produced H1 and L1 far are order of magnitude better than H2 95% ULs: H1 ~ 4.2e-23, H2 ~ 4.5e-22, L1 ~ 6.5e-23

4 Noise not yet optimally modelled
Noise model Noise not yet optimally modelled Probable causes are lines, transients and maybe power leakage from other bands Will look into dealing with noise in more sophisticated ways 60 second average S2 time series in Crab band (blue) and standard deviation (red) Reduced chi squareds for detectors during S2 H H L Reduced chi squared should be 1 for Gaussian data
