Student’s Engineering Survival Contest – SESC
Goals: Run and deploy in field engineering practices expected activities have acquired throughout the semester; accompanied by the observation of generic skills evidenced. “They told me and I forgot; I saw and I understood it; I did and I learned.”

Criteria evaluated at SESC
The evaluation of proven competencies the teacher made in the field, along the SCSE and these were divided into two groups: soft & hard skills as shown in the table below: Table 1. Classification of skills assessed in field. TYPE SKILLS Soft skills Confidence. Ability to make decisions Voluntary willingness to help Artistic, creative, sports, and aquatic skills. Ability to interact with others. Punctuality.

Hard and soft skills are often referred to when applying for a job
Hard and soft skills are often referred to when applying for a job. For most jobs, while the hard skills are essential to getting the interview, it's the soft skills that will land the job because employers want someone who won't just perform their job function, but will be a good personality fit for the company and make a good impression on clients.
