3. Birth
The settlement, which was first mentioned in 1376 as the only municipality in Slovakia is not disturbed by new construction. Was evaluated as the best settlement of this in the Carpathian arc. Originally it was a settlement of loggers, farmers and pastoralists.

The settlement Vlkolínec is part of Ruzomberok, which is called Biely Potok.
It was built under the mountain Sidorovo.
The village is in the middle divides roughly into two streets. One of them leads to a Baroque-Classicist Roman Catholic church in 1875 and the other heads steeper terrain to the foot of the hill Sidorovo.
  When SNP was part of the village was burned, burned 13 houses. The only brick building in the village is the church.

Sidorovo, the dominant hill over Vlkolíncom, belongs to the Velka Fatra Mountains, in folk administration bears the name of shine.
