Alliteration!! Repetition of beginning sounds of words.
Poets use alliteration to create “music” in poetry. How? Makes lines more memorable. Emphasis Creates an appealing sound for readers Ask students to take out their notes and complete this section.

Hyperbole A figure of speech in which exaggeration is used for emphasis or effect. EXTREME EXAGGERATION. Examples: I could sleep for a year. This book weighs a ton.

Your assignment Create an advertisement that uses both alliteration and hyperbole.
REQUIREMENTS A product, service, or place with at least 3 alliterative words in its name. An illustration/image A hyperbole caption/slogan for the ad Challenge: Make your caption/slogan with alliteration within the hyperbole! Lots of color and effort! STEPS Choose a product, service, or place you want to create an ad for (real or fictional). Create a 5 minute rough draft with the requirements Create your advertisement on construction paper.
