Luke 12:51 Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division.

2 And they began to accuse him, saying, “We have found this man subverting our nation. 10 The chief priests and the teachers of the law were standing there, vehemently accusing him.  23 But with loud shouts they insistently demanded that he be crucified, and their shouts prevailed.

16 Luke 23 – War and Peace Indifferent - 49 the women who had followed him from Galilee, stood at a distance, watching Irrelevant - 40 But the other criminal… said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom. 47 The centurion, seeing what had happened, praised God and said, “Surely this was a righteous man.” Intolerant - 50 there was a man named Joseph, a member of the Council, a good and upright man, 51 who had not consented to their decision and action. 

17 Don’t be crushed or in despair – pray and be a peace-bringer.
Luke 23 – War and Peace Jesus brings peace. But vertical peace and internal peace do not always translate into horizontal peace. The deity and death of Jesus Christ bring division, maybe even in your family. Your loved ones may act with indifference, may mock as irrelevant, or may oppose with intolerance. Don’t be crushed or in despair – pray and be a peace-bringer.
