8 Brunei Multisectoral NCD efforts
Developing national multisectoral NCD action plan ( ) with targets for 2015 and 2018 2 multisectoral consultations with support from WHO held in Nov 2012 and May 2013 National health promotion committee to support the implementation through different sectors National NCD unit set up to coordinate

9 Objectives Targets by 2018 ( baseline value of 2010) 1. To reduce tobacco use in the population 50% relative reduction in prevalence of current tobacco use in males aged 15/ years 2. To promote balance and healthy diet 50% reduction on “regular” consumption of sweetened drinks by children 100% of school canteen operators stop selling sugar sweetened beverages containing > 6G/100ml of sugar 3. To increase physical activity 10% relative increase in prevalence sufficient physical activity in children and adolescent 50% of all ministries having established healthy workplace programme to promote PA 4. To identify people at risk 50% of eligible people receive drug therapy and counseling (including glycemic control) to prevent heart attack and stroke 5. To improve the quality of care and outcome of NCD management 10% reduction in CVD mortality in hospitals
