COMMITTEES 1 .League Expansion & promotion including kids age group 10 to 15 year old. (Avinash & Ram) Work with teams to identify improvement opportunities, develop new procedures & implement. Partnership with ACF, national leagues, inter state tournaments . Kids cricket - Soft Ball & Leather ball will be introduced to talented kids at end of season. Season starts April and ends in September. Will be played in the late afternoon over the weekends. Will have 2 centers, Edison and S. Brunswick Will be requesting applications later this season.

Grounds (Amin, Rizwan) Check for availability for grounds that are managed by the league (Johnson's Park, Philips Park and all other NJSBCL managed Grounds) Work as liaison between teams and county officers to facilitate permits Insurance 3. Scheduling (Rizwan, Rahul Gupta, Rohit, Dhrumit) Create the schedule for the main league tournament Schedule and format for 8*8 events

4. Public Relations, Marketing & Event Management
(Ranjith, Amin, Rahul Razdan) Plan and manage the events of NJSBCL (AGM, Finals, 8x8, Awards Nite) Work with Corporate Sponsors Liaison with NJ government officials Advertising during community events & other outreach events 5 I.T. / Website (Rahul Gupta, Amin, Rashid) New Website launch Score Sheet Validation & Results Points table management Statistics & reports from website NJSBCL website maintenance

8. Dispute Resolution (Vipin, Amarnath, Avinash)
Resolve all disputes, co-coordinating with other groups as needed. 9. Finance Committee (Avinash, Amin, Ranjith, Sachin) Manage funds, develop & present balance sheet, income statements of NJSBCL Approve expenses of league Yearly tax filing of league & Prepare league for audits Not for profit registration renewals

Schedule 2017 Highlights 40 Division 1 teams. 80 Teams in Division 2.
Additional Teams to play NJSBCL Second Tournament Division 1: Pool A will play against Pool B. Division 2: Pool A will play against Pool D. Pool B will play against Pool C. 20 Round Robin games. Knockout starts with top 8 teams from each pool. Each team gets 10 home and 10 away games during round-robin. Each team also gets 10 umpiring assignments. The final schedule will be released on April 11, 2017

Grounds The EC is trying to do its best to accommodate all ground requests. The EC has 13 grounds (a few permits are yet to be released). Ground allocation is being done based on many factors such as Groups/Sharing and others . Teams will receive confirmation from EC in separate . We have a few teams who are sharing ground with us . We encourage collaboration.

Second Tournament Each team plays the other teams twice within pool during round-robin Top 4 teams go to semi-finals (knock-out). Played with a red tennis ball. Batting team umpires. $75 registration fee. Begins April 29.

Key Rule Changes for 2017 Mankading Player Eligibility for knockout
Must have played 6 games. The 1/3 games played calculation no longer applicable. Free Hit Foot fault and above waist deliveries will get a free hit on the subsequent ball. Disciplinary Action : Unsportmanship will be severely penalized including banning from future games. Captains and Managers will be held responsible for their teams actions

Charity & Community-Oriented Program
FOOD & CLOTHING DRIVE Last season: 25 large bags of clothes Over 200 lbs of non-perishable food items This season: Captains collect donation items during the season EC will co-ordinate a pick up time convenient to you during the last 2 games of regular season Volunteering opportunities: Sign up for volunteering opportunities during the season Individual/team
