2 Mel Ott Melivn Thomas Ott was his whole name.
He was born in Gretna, Louisiana, on March 2,1909, and died on November 21, 1958. Mel Ott’s nick name was “Master Melvin”. He played his entire career for the New York Giants. He batted left-handed and threw right-handed.

3 More on Mel Ott He was the first National League player to surpass 500 homeruns. He was unusually slight of stature for a power hitter, at 5 feet 9 inches (1.75 m), 170 pounds.

4 Babe Ruth George Herman Ruth, Jr. was his whole name.
He was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on February 6,1895. He died on August 16,1948, in New York. He was 53 years old. He started the major leagues with the Boston Red Sox as a pitcher, but was sold to the New York Yankees in 1919. Babe batted left-handed and threw left-handed.

5 More on Babe Ruth Shortly after his Yankee Stadium anniversary, Ruth was back in the hospital. He received lots of get-well letters. He got a call from President Harry Truman. Ruth returned to the hospital for the final time. He died of cancer at the age of 53. He died on August 16, 1948.

He was born in Ekron, Kentucky on July 23, 1918. He died in Louisville, Kentucky on August 14, 1999 at age 81. He batted right-handed and threw right-handed. The team he played for was Brooklyn Dodgers. The positions he played were shortstop and third base. His uniform number was # 1. Pee Wee was a Louisville city marbles champion at the age of 12.

7 More on Pee Wee Reese Pee Wee spent three years in the navy during the World War ll. He had the record of 30 stolen bases in 1952. He had 104 walks in 1947 and run scored in 1949.
