SCC Plan For as a District, we fell 1440 FTES short of our districtwide credit and noncredit 28,902 FTES target. This target was based on actuals as we expected to remain flat. While our intent was to have borrowed from summer, the maximum we could have borrowed, between both colleges, would have been 1208 FTES, 232 short of meeting our base. Our limitation to borrowing from summer is impacted by the census date for summer courses occurring prior to June 30th. While overall SCC had sufficient summer FTES to meet our target, as a district we had insufficient summer FTES (pre-June 30th census) to borrow. As a District, we can only borrow from courses that have a census date prior to June 30th, meaning that second four week courses or PAC courses do not apply. This is districtwide strategy we will change for scheduling.
10
SCC Plan By going into stabilization for , we received full funding for This is based on the level of funding prior to stabilization ( ). For RSCCD the FTES was 28,902 of which SCC’s credit portion was 6755 FTES. Once you are in stabilization, you have three years to get back to your base, but the time period can be reset if you reach your base. If you assume that enrollment is identical to and we are at 27,517 FTES once again, we would have to obtain a summer goal of FTES as a district for borrowing. For SCC actuals we were at 6561 FTES with a shortfall of 194 FTES is less than half of what we generate in a summer.
12
SCC Plan Change in FTES from 2012 to our previous academic year.
Important to note: Impact of the 4.79% shortfall in FTES to our fiscal operations if we would have not gone into stabilization. This equates to a $7.2 million dollars loss in funding.
