How to Set Up a NuRide Account
There are 2 ways to set up your NuRide account – using your and password or syncing it with your Facebook. Go to nuride.com Click on “Join”

Fill in the requested info . . . Then click on Join.
… Or log in using your Facebook account.

Click on the word “Profile” in the dropdown under the Account tab.
SET UP YOUR PROFILE Once you’ve created your profile, you can go to Account then Profile to customize your user profile. To make it easier to find a carpool match and record rides, go ahead an input your home and work address, then select your daily work schedule. Click on the word “Profile” in the dropdown under the Account tab.

Fill in the requested information
as you scroll to the bottom of the page. Be sure to identify your employer as your organization so your trips count toward your employer’s total in the Challenge. It’s very important that you and all of your staff list your employer to gain points for your organization. For most of you it will pre-fill once you start typing.

Remember to hit the SAVE button at the bottom of the profile page.
Congrats! You’ve completed your NuRide profile.

HOW TO RECORD TRIPS Begin by selecting “Record a Trip” in the dropdown under the “Trips” tab. You can record trips by going to Trips and selecting Record Trips. Keep scrolling down to add details —and don’t forget to hit the “save” button at the bottom of the page!

Once you save your trip, it will appear on your Trip Calendar.

Or you can select the date in the calendar under Trips and click Go. It will take you to the same page. Select your mode of travel – carpool, telecommute. Multimodal is if you walk or bike then take the bus or carpool. Input your origin and destination address. Indicate if it’s part of your commute, like your daily bike to work or an irregular trip like carpooling to a meeting or walking to lunch. Then let us know if it was a round trip, so that it can count as 2 trips. You can also set it to record automatically, like if you and your buddy carpool 3 times a week. This calendar is found in the dropdown under the “Trips” tab.

HOW TO FIND CARPOOL PARTNERS
You can look for a carpool partner by inputting your home and work address, just like you would with Google maps. If you’ve included it in your user profile, it will start to pre-fill. Click on “Find Rides” in the navigation bar.

Put in your origin and destination information.

When origin and destination are inserted, nearby NuRiders (green pins) and the places to which they commute (red pins) will be shown. Once you’ve entered the addresses and pressed enter, matches should pop up in your area. Click on a green pin to see your match, and the pin will blow up to show their proximity to your home and work site. You can click on their name to find out more about them, like their where they work and when they were last active.

Click on the username, and you will be able to send that person a message. Then you can click “Contact” to shoot them an and set up a carpool. Generally, your best matches are ones that have been most recently active.

Select your trip preferences.
You can indicate if you’d like to travel only with Facebook friends, NuRide “buddies”, or colleagues from work. You can also request that you only carpool with Facebook friends or work colleagues, but keep in mind, this may reduce the eligible number of carpool matches.

Select “On the way” to find matches along your route.
Still can’t find a ride? Expand your search radius from the default of <2 miles. If you have too many matches, you can reduce the search radius. Select “On the way” to find matches along your route. If you have trouble finding a match, first, adjust your search radius from 2 miles to 5 or even 10 miles. If you still don’t have any matches, you can select “On the Way” to see if there are any matches that you can pick up.

HOW TO GET YOUR REWARDS Click on “Rewards” in the navigation bar.
Redeem your rewards by going to Rewards in the navigation bar. Click on “Rewards” in the navigation bar.

Scroll down to find the reward you want and click on the link.
The “Points” column indicates how many points it costs to redeem the reward. Then you can sort the rewards by newest, oldest, most popular, lowest to highest, or even category like restaurant or retail. In the top left it shows how many points you’ve accrued and in the Points column it shows you how many points each reward costs. Everyone starts with 1,000 points!

Read the expiration date and conditions for the reward.
Click on a reward to redeem it. The paragraph below will tell you the terms and conditions of the reward, like a coupon, and indicate if it’s geographically limited. Click Select to redeem the award then answer a few questions and the reward will be ed to your associated account or you can set up a secondary . Click “Select” and the reward will be ed to you.

HOW TO REQUEST A C.A.R.E. VOUCHER
AACOG’s CARE program, or Certified Auto Ride Home in an Emergency, provides up to a $50 reimbursement four times a year for an emergency ride home from work. So if your daughter calls home from school sick or your carpool partner leaves early or you’re stuck with unexpected overtime, you can take a cab or Uber or Lyft home and receive up to a $50 reimbursement. There are a few conditions: You must live and work in the 8 counties surrounding San Antonio You take alternative transportation and record your commute on NuRide an average of three times or more per week You keep your home, organization, and address current on NuRide You can apply for reimbursement through the CARE program once you’ve already taken the trip. Save your receipt, then redeem your voucher within one week of your trip. You can search for the voucher by typing in care in the search bar on the right. Search “care” in the search bar of the Rewards section

Redeem the voucher by clicking Select
Click on the hyperlink to make sure that you meet all of the application criteria, then click select. The reward costs you zero points. Redemption of a CARE voucher costs ZERO points!

Answer a few quick questions…
Answer a few quick questions, then the reward will be ed to you. Print out and fill in the form, then you can scan it and it to Annette, fax it, or mail it to AACOG. Then select Redeem and the voucher will be ed to you!
