4 What is the PD² Adapter? The PD2 Adapter is a mechanism to insert and extract PD2 data in standard eXtensible Markup Language (XML) format Standard XML format is defined by Document Type Definitions (DTDs) DTDs are defined for Awards, PRs, Quotes, etc. The PD2 Adapter is built using the webMethods Product Suite Versions of wM are (SR13), 8.2 (SR14)

8 Outgoing Transaction Flow
An example of data being extracted from the PD² database is represented here.

9 Outgoing Transaction Flow (cont.)
A document is released in PD² The document gets inserted into the PD2 Buffer table The MultiPoll scheduler polls the buffer table for data to be extracted Documents are only extracted if the corresponding event is configured and enabled in the event subscription table If extracted successfully, will show up in MWS The pd2_buffer_pmo table, also known as the buffer table, acts as an outbound document queue. It stores outbound document IDs and events that were captured by a database trigger.

10 Information Exchange Integrations enable information exchange between PD² and External Systems

Broker -standard GFEBS GEX/EDA NECO PDS Duns value. Links back to the tn_receiver value in the Event Subscription table

22 TN Partner Profiles Delivery Settings
The Delivery Settings is where connection information for TN Partners is entered. The example about is for the TN Partner of SPSHD EDA, using the FTP delivery methods pointing to an IP address, port number and location. A username and password also has to be entered. Sites have to contact GEX/EDA directly to get the connection information. There are only two types of Delivery Methods that are typically used: HTTPS and FTP. FTPS is not supported.

23 MWS Transactions page By navigating to Transactions under Monitoring, you will be able to view all documents that are processing including incoming documents. Under the Saved tab should be a default query (SPS Default Query or SPSSTD).

24 MWS Transactions page: Activity Log

25 MWS Transactions page: Contents & XML
