2. Original Project idea
Originally I wanted to present on a panel to the Blue Ridge Community College nursing class about operating room nursing
When I was a student there, recent graduates came back and spoke about the different areas of nursing they ended up working in
I wanted to get future nurses interested in coming to work in the operating room

3. Plan B
My original idea did not end up working out, so I started to think about other ideas
I decided to post a presentation about operating room nursing on Youtube to hopefully inspire other nurses to enter this specialty that I enjoy so much

4. Sharing my OR knowledge and experience
My intention with posting this presentation onto Youtube is to educate future or current nurses about the operating room
When I was in nursing school I feel like I did not learn much about the OR
I had a day of shadowing in the OR and learned about the role of the nurse being either the circulator or scrub, but that was the extent of it
I wanted people to learn about the variety you encounter when working in the OR, the team work atmosphere, the difference you can make being a patient advocate and the great schedule of working in the OR
