GCSE Exam Practice In your GCSE Resistant Materials Examination, one of the questions you will be expected to answer is a piece of ‘Extended Writing’. Q. What does this mean? No bullet points, No one-word answers, No abbreviated sentences. Marks will be awarded for your knowledge of the designers, the content of your answer and the quality of your written communication. The designers you will be looking at this year are:- James Dyson & Ross Lovegrove

3 GCSE Exam Practice In order to produce a good quality piece of extended writing, you will need to focus on and develop the following areas:- The range of work produced by the designer The features that identify the work of the designer The innovations and/or new ideas introduced by the designer The influence the designer has had on design & manufacture VCOP (Vocabulary, Connectives, Openers, Punctuation)
