The exam will include two each of 2mk, 5mk and 8mk questions, and one 15mk. What skills do you think you need to be able to show, to pass the GCSE? Well-argued conclusion presents alternative view points. old GRADE A/ A*, new level 7/8 Explain in your own words what you need to do to be sure of passing this GCSE. **How much harder is this than what you can do at the moment? Having correct information will not be enough to pass. You will need to understand what different points of view are saying and talk about these views yourself.

Presentation You can get extra 5 marks for correct spelling, punctuation, grammar (SPaG) This includes good handwriting. You can achieve a higher level by using RE-specific, specialised vocabulary (eg “Jesus’ incarnation”, instead of “Jesus’ birth”) You will be marked at a higher level if your answers are well-argued, and well- structured. Describe/ explain in detail. Follow essay structure. Describe, explain, evaluate. Write the subheading “presentation” Write down 3 reasons how presentation can help you get a better grade What else can help you get a higher grade? **Which of these do you find harder?
