DIFFERENCES BETWEEN MEN AND WOMEN
Names If Linda, Kate, Paula and Janice go out for lunch, they will call each other Linda, Kate, Paula and Janice. If Fred, Luke, Bradley, and Jeff go out, they will affectionately refer to each other as Bruno, Scrappy, Peanut-Head and Godzilla. Money A man will pay $10 for a $5 item he needs. A woman will pay $5 for a $10 item that she doesn’t need, because it’s on sale. Bathrooms A man has five items in his bathroom: a toothbrush, razor, shaving cream, a bar of soap, and a towel from the Motel 6. The average number of items in a woman’s bathroom is 284. The average man would not be able to identify most of them. Arguments Women always have the last word in an argument. Anything a man adds after that is the beginning of a new argument.

DIFFERENCES BETWEEN MEN AND WOMEN
Cats Women love cats. Men may say they love cats, but when women are not looking, will men kick cats. Public Restrooms Men use restrooms for purely biological reasons. Women use restrooms as social lounges. Men in a restroom will never speak a word to each other. Women who’ve never met will leave a restroom giggling together like old friends.

1 Samuel 18 1 Samuel 18:6-11 - How Saul felt about David’s success. “There are going to be times in our lives when someone else gets an unexpected blessing or receives some special recognition. May I plead with us not to be hurt—and certainly not to feel envious when good fortune comes to another person? We are not diminished when someone else is added upon. We are not in a race against each other. …The race we are really in is the race against sin, and surely envy is one of the most universal of those” (“The Laborers in the Vineyard,” Ensign orLiahona, May 2012, 31). What things make you a bit jealous?

(vs 14 is great!) When have you seen someone behave wisely in a difficult situation? What lessons did you learn? What can you do to behave wisely in your everyday life? Give specific examples. (NOTICE WHO HE MARRIES IN vs 17-27)

Friends! Principles of friendship by David and Jonathan 1 Sam 18:1, 3-4 1 Sam 19:2, 4-5 1 Sam 20:4, 17, 41-42 “Acts of a friend should result in self-improvement. Certainly the word friend is misused if it is identified with a person who contributes to our delinquency, misery, and heartaches. A friend is a person that is willing to take me the way I am but who is willing and able to leave me better than he found me.” Marvin J. Ashton (Jan 1973 Ensign).

Everyone needs good and true friends
Everyone needs good and true friends. They will be a great strength and blessing to you. They will influence how you think and act, and even help determine the person you will become. They will help you be a better person and will make it easier for you to live the gospel of Jesus Christ. Choose friends who share your values so you can strengthen and encourage each other in living high standards. To have good friends, be a good friend. Show genuine interest in others; smile and let them know you care about them. Treat everyone with kindness and respect, and refrain from judging and criticizing those around you. Do not participate in any form of bullying. Make a special effort to be a friend to those who are shy or lonely, have special needs, or do not feel included. As you seek to be a friend to others, do not compromise your standards. If your friends urge you to do things that are wrong, be the one to stand for the right, even if you stand alone. You may need to find other friends who will support you in keeping the commandments. Seek the guidance of the Holy Ghost as you make these choices.
